 Landscape, Marsh-scape, and the natural world of Sea Isle will be the focus for this outdoor painting class from the decks at the Sea Isle Library. Learn to see and feel the vista of nature, and then paint with the elements of art taught by Janet McShane. Classes will be held outside weather permitting.

Janet McShane has earned her degree in Fine Arts, Design, and Art Education, and a minor in Art History. McShane has received multiple awards from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Moore College of Art. McShane has been plein air painting around South Jersey for a number of years and likes to pass on her knowledge and experience to budding artists.

  • Attendee must be 18 Years or older.
  • All registrants must have library card in good standing. Many of the programs offered through the Cape May County Library require registration prior to the start of the program. Programs that require registration will be marked on the calendar (online and print), in press releases, and on promotional posters. To ensure fairness, patrons who fail to appear for three (3) programs/classes will not be eligible for first time registration for a period of six months. Rather, these patrons will automatically be placed on the waiting list. If an opening is available, the said patron will be notified that he or she can attend. If a patron cannot attend a program/class, it is his or her responsibility to alert the library via its online registration or telephone at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the program/class. If proper notice of cancellation is given, then the patron will not be moved out of good standing.
