 With the grey of winter giving way to longer sunnier days and tell tale signs of catalogs and flower shows before you know it spring will be here. This is the time to get a jump on this year’s gardening season. Planning, preparing and pruning are among the first steps to improving last year’s performance in your gardens. Come learn some fundamental principles of gardening, including soil amendments, disease and pest management along with basic pruning techniques necessary for a successful year for the landscape and gardens

Joseph Alvarez has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Environmental Science, is a Board Member of the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, a founding member of the Cape May County Beach Plum Association, and is active in many county and agricultural programs in South Jersey.
