New Jersey's pollinators and honey bees have been experiencing overwintering deaths as high as 35% in recent years. This decline affects not only the beekeepers and agriculture, but plants' lives and the ecology of South Jersey as a whole. With plant awareness and the right stewardship program this problem can be solved on a personal level. Come and joins us as we take you through all the seasons and what pollinators need as great nectar and pollen forage sources.

Joseph Alvarez has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology/Environmental Science, is a Board Member of the Friends of Cape May National Wildlife Refuge, a founding member of the Cape May County Beach Plum Association, and is active in many county and agricultural programs in South Jersey.
