Memory Café is a place where individuals with memory loss and their caregivers can get together in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. It is a time and place where people can interact, laugh, cry, find support, share concerns and celebrate without feeling embarrassed or misunderstood.
There are 5.4 million people in the U.S. with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. This diagnosis impacts not only the individual, but their care partners and other family members as well. There is “still a lot of living to do” after diagnosis, and the Memory Café hopes to promote this and restore a sense of normalcy for both the person with the diagnosis and those who love them as a place to have fun and laugh once again.
Right at Home is a leader in the in-home senior care industry. Their trained caregivers provide quality in-home care for seniors and disabled adults who need some assistance to maintain their independence.
