Join Carolyn for a fun class putting a twist on traditional Asian dishes. We’ll make baked shrimp egg rolls and Thai Kale Slaw. Also, participants are strongly encouraged to bring an under-utilized inexpensive gadget from their kitchen for a lively discussion on why you bought it and why it is just taking room up in your kitchen. All who bring something are invited to participate in a gadget exchange. As the saying goes, someone’s junk is another’s treasure.
Carolyn Vinci has written food columns for a Gannet newspaper, taught cooking to children and founded an animal advocacy organization. She retired after 32 years of working with the developmentally disabled and is enjoying gardening, attempting to play the violin and cooking. While finding healthy and tasty new ways to prepare food is fun, honoring traditions is important at the Vinci table. Carolyn is excited to bring her ideas to the classroom and looks forward to sharing with and learning from her classes.
