Ancient Egyptian pharaohs were considered to be both divine deities as well as mortal rulers. Throughout the 30+ dynasties in ancient Egyptian history, it is speculated that some 170 or more rulers reigned over the great land of Egypt during a three thousand year time span. In this lecture we will learn about the most important Kings, their life and contribution to this unique civilization. Everyone is welcomed to attend. Replicas of some of the presented royalty will also be displayed to see and touch. Questions are always encouraged.
Sherin Motawea is originally from Egypt. She studied Egyptology. In 1998, Sherin obtained her first Master of Arts in Museum and Heritage Studies from the University College London, U.K. She then became the Head of the Egyptian Museums Department at the Supreme Council of Antiquities under the supervision of the renowned Egyptologist Dr. Hawass. She conducted a number of educational programs for all ages in Egyptian museums.
