Beginner Mah Jongg

In this 6-week course, you will learn how to play American Mah Jongg. Please purchase a 2022 National Mah Jongg League card prior to the first class.

During this six week workshop for beginners, you will learn the National Mah Jongg League game. By using their rules and 2022 card you will learn the names of the tiles, how to interpret the card, and basic play.

Attendees may bring their own American Mah Jongg set if they have one.

The class will take place on Wednesdays from 1pm-3pm at the Wildwood Crest Library on the following dates:

• July 6th
• July 13th
• July 20th
• July 27th
• Aug. 3rd
• Aug. 10th

All registrants are required to attend each class in a series. If absent for the first class, your spot will be given to the next in line on the Waitlist.

The instructor, Debbie Thomas, has been playing Mah Jongg for more than 20 years. She began teaching the game 5 years ago and has many players enjoying the game today. Debbie is enthusiastic about the game and currently plays in many tournaments in the state.
