Expressive Floral Painting

Get inspired by the beauty of botanicals in this 90-minute acrylic painting class. Students will paint from a fresh, floral still life using a limited-palette and loose and expressive painting techniques to create a unique work of art. 

This workshop is being offered twice, on March 9th in Court House and the 23rd in Sea Isle City. Please sign up for ONE of the two sessions. 

 

Students should bring the following:

  • 16 x 20 in. canvas (or larger)
  • Large paint brush (suggested: Blick Mega Filbert, Size 30)
  • Medium paint brush (suggested: Catalyst Polytip Filbert, Size 16)
  • Small paint brush (suggested: Catalyst Polytip Bright, Size 12)
  • Round / Spotter detail brush
  • Palette
  • Acrylic Paint colors (the following pigments are suggested)
    • yellow medium azo
    • emerald green
    • quinacridone red-orange
    • light pink
    • quinacridone magenta
    • pyrrole red
    • light blue violet
    • brilliant purple
    • titanium white
    • payne’s gray
